LOCAL 95 EDUCATION FUND GUIDELINES

CLASS/SEMINAR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DEADLINES:
ALL CLASSES, BOOKS AND MATERIALS MUST BE PAID FOR PER THE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES.

Seminars/classes and training - 3 days prior to course
CASH, CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED
UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE COURSE, ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.
STUDENTS ARE TO USE THIS CERTIFICATE FOR CITY LICENSE RENEWAL.
LOST OR DUPLICATE CERTIFICATES WILL BE ISSUED AT A COST OF $5.00
All Students MUST Register in Advance. Phone, FAX and E-Mail registrations are no longer accepted.
Walk-ins will no longer be given credit for any classes or seminars; If you are not properly registered by the above guidelines, and still attend the class, you will not be asked to leave, but you will not receive credit, certificates or contact hours for the City License.
There will be NO exceptions.
If you have properly registered, and your name is not on the class day sign in sheet, you must contact the office, and provide proof of registration.
If you register for a class or seminar and fail to cancel within 24 hours, or show for the class, you will be responsible for the cost of the class; if a member, at the member rate, and if a non-member, at the non-member rate. Properly registering reserves your seat, and allows the instructor the ability to plan for the class. By not showing, you have displaced a potential student that may have wanted to take the class. (THE EDUCATION FUND WILL NOT COVER THESE COSTS)
ONLINE CLASSES
YOU MUST HAVE COMPUTER or TABLET ACCESS to the internet.
AUDIO ONLY ACCESS NOT PERMITTED.
Classes will begin promptly at the designated time!!
It is recommended to be logged in 15 minutes early.
Late admission to the course will not be granted.
Classes will be CLOSELY MONITORED, and all students will be required to respond to questions or commands at various times.
Failure to do so will result in the student being removed from the session without class credit.
Due to limited space for classes, registered students who do not login for class, participate, or are removed from the session will follow the Training Fund guidelines as far as being responsible for any fees, and the cost of the class. (The Education Fund will not cover these costs or fees.)
Once the course is completed, student status will be verified, if there are problems or issues with your account, you will be notified. Then certificates will be emailed to the registered student email as soon as prudently possible.
PAYMENTS:
All fees MUST be paid in full PER THE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES. Failure to do so shall result in that you will not be registered for the class or seminar.
Payments can be made via the class registration website page.

Those who are not a member of Local 95, working at a Training Fund participating employer will be allowed to attend all classes and seminars at the Local 95-member rates.
If you are not a Union Member, and your employer does not participate in the Training Fund, then non-member rates apply.
APPRENTICE AND PROBATIONARY employees working at a Training Fund participating employer shall be allowed to attend all classes and seminars. The Local 95-member rate or the initiation fee must be paid in full per the registration guidelines in order for Apprentice and Probationary employees to attend classes or seminars.
APPRENTICE AND PROBATIONARY employees working at a Non-Training Fund participating employer shall be allowed to attend all classes and seminars at the Local 95-member rates. The Local 95-member rate must be paid in full per the registration guidelines in order for Apprentice and Probationary employees to attend classes or seminars.
If the employee chooses to pay the initiation fee instead of the Local 95-member rate and fails to complete the probationary period or apprentice program, the initiation fee paid, minus any permit fees and/or class costs owed, will be refunded and their membership will be cancelled through the International.
• Members in good standing who are out of work shall be allowed to take classes at no cost (except books and materials) for one (1) year from the time of job loss.
• Members in good standing who have sons or daughters wishing to take classes shall pay the Local 95-member rates.
• There shall be no charge for Retirees wishing to take 4 or 8 hour classes or seminars (except for books and materials). Otherwise Local 95-member rates shall apply.
• There shall be no charge for Managers with direct supervisory responsibilities over bargaining unit members in Training Fund participating facilities, and wishing to take 4 or 8 hour classes or seminars (except for books and materials). Otherwise the Local 95-member rates shall apply.
